Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) are Federal Drug Enforcement Agency-approved locations for dispensing methadone, vivitrol, and suboxone to people interested in engaging in medication-assisted addiction treatment services. These life-saving medications are the foundation that helps clients stay in treatment long enough to benefit from the rest of our whole-person care.
didgʷálič Wellness Center has two MMUs, which are recreational vehicles customized for securely dispensing medication. One MMU travels to the Bellingham didgʷálič Wellness Center six days a week. At the site, doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants evaluate clients, and nurses administer medications. Client navigators, substance use disorder (SUD) counselors, peer counselors, and security personnel are also available to assist clients.
We offer free transportation to our clinic in Anacortes, where we provide mental health care, primary care, cultural care, dental care, and social service case management.
We also provide a Navigator/Tribal Assistant to help new clients with their insurance applications through the Washington Health Plan Finder.
